Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The spokesperson of Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Husain Abdullah, elaborated how JK was finally hospitalized in Cipto Mangukusumo Hospital. He said it all started when JK became the speaker in a book discussion of "Reinventing Indonesia".

The book is written by the former Coordinating Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, Ginandjar Kartasasmita and Professor Joseph J Stern. It is 'dissected' at the Management Magistrate Building of the University of Indonesia, Salemba, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 9, 2015.

"Wednesday morning mr. JK was the speaker at mr. Ginandjar's book discussion in Salemba. Afterwards, he did a check up (at RSCM). But by the doctor, he was suggested to conduct general check up," Husain said on Thursday morning (9/10/2015).

JK followed the doctor's advice, as his full schedule had made him unable to check himself up to the doctor. "As he has never checked himself during this time, due to the high work rhythm," said Husain.

From the examination, Husain said, the Doctors' Team from RSCM asked JK to rest. "To be fitter, he was asked to rest by the doctor and was finally able to focus on his rest," he continued.

Meanwhile, in his welcome speech at the book discussion, JK praised Ginandjar's and Professor Joseph's piece. The book, said JK, is inspiring. "A book surely has the experience and views, as it is important for us all to learn from the experience and do better in the future," said the Vice President last Wednesday.

In the 1997-1999 period, Ginandjar has been posted as the Head of the National Development Planning Board during the time of President Soeharto, as well as the Coordinating Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry in both the President Soeharto and BJ Habibie's era. From Ginandjar's book, JK hoped that the younger generations mah understand the economic and political steps on Indonesia in avoiding the repetition of the economic crisis.

"One of the most important thing to know, mr. Ginandjar has an extraordinary siding to local productivity and human resources," said the Vice President.

Several public figures were also present in the book discussion, among others, former Coordinating Minister of Public Welfare Agung Laksono, former Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Miranda Gultom, former Minister of Maritime and Fishery Fadel Muhamad, as well as businessman Abdul Latief.

Vice President stated the economic and political policies have to be conducted with good productivity within the country and using the market efficiently. "As mr. Ginandjar's philosophy, something should be sided on something, as how to increase our productivity since it also educated us in obtaining the strong role for the country," said Kalla prior the doctor's examination.
