Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Tanggamus regent Bambang Kurniawan as a suspect for a bribery case.

"Yes it is correct," said KPK deputy chief Laode M Syarif in Jakarta on Thursday (10/20) evening.

He allegedly gave a total of more than Rp500 million to several Tanggamus Legislative Council members.

He gave the money to Agus Munada, Nursyahbana, Heri Ermawan, Baharen, Herlan Adianto, Sumiyati, Fahrizal, Tahzani, Kurnain, Ahmad Parid, Tri Wahyuningsih, Hailina, and Diki Fauzi.

The council members have returned the money to the anti-graft agency.
