10 Drug Convicts Still in Isolation Cells

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Ten drug convicts are still in isolation cells in Nusakambangan prison. The drug convicts were excluded from the third round of executions last July.

Deputy Attorney General Rahmad Noor said they have not decided the next round of executions. They also have not decided whether to move the drug convicts from isolation cells.

"Not yet," Rahmad said at his office in Jakarta on Monday (9/26).

The government planned to execute 14 drug convicts in the third round of executions. However, ten drug convicts were excluded at the eleventh hour.

The ten drug convicts are Zulfiqar Ali (Pakistan), Obinna Nwajagu (Nigeria), Ozias Sibanda (Zimbabwe), Fedderrik Luttar (Zimbabwe), Agus Hadi (Indonesia), Pujo Lestari bin Sukatno (Indonesia), Gurdip Singh (India), Merri Utama (Indonesia), Okonkwo Nongso Kingsley (Nigeria), Ugene Ape (Nigeria).
