Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The government has decided to cancel the creation of the National Cyber Agency (BCN) for budget efficiency.

"We don't need new agency to tackle cyber crimes," President Joko Widodo said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/20/2016).

"We can consolidate related units in various ministries and agencies," he continued.

The government has had the plan since 2013. Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan formed a task force to realize the plan in 2014.

"We need to be more professional and responsive," Jokowi concluded.
