Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo is scheduled to meet a number of Islamic organizations in the Presidential Palace this evening.

"We need to calm the situation," said Jokowi on Wednesday (11/9).

"There are Al Irsyad, Perti, ICMI, Darul Anwar and other Islamic organizations," he continued.

Hardliner groups staged a protest in the capital on November 4. They demanded the police to charge Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama for religious blasphemy.

The hardliner groups recently announced they will stage another protest on November 25.

"Hopefully, it does not happen," Jokowi stated.
