Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo and several ministers visited Garut, West Java on Thursday (9/28). He met with flood victims in the region.

"The Social Affairs Ministry has delivered aid," Jokowi said.

"We are still searching the missing. 19 people are still missing. The National SAR Agency (Basarnas) is still searching them," he continued.

Jokowi was accompanied by Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya, Health Minister Nila Moeleok and Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljo. He was also accompanied by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan.

Heavy rains triggered flash floods in Garut last week. Dozens were killed in the disaster.

"We will make investigation. We have to stop deforestation in the region," Jokowi stated.
