Tangerang Attacker Dies in Hospital

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Jakarta Metro Police has confirmed Sultan Aziansyah (22) died in hospital.

Sultan attacked a police station in Tangerang this morning (10/20). He wounded three police officers with a knife.

"The attacker died," said Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Awi Setiyono in Jakarta on Thursday (10/20).

Awi explained that police shot Sultan three times. The man received bullets in the stomach and the legs.

"He lost too much blood," Awi continued.

Meanwhile, National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian said Sultan has links to Jamaah Ansar Daulah. The group is affiliated to ISIS.

"He is Jamaah Ansar Daulah member. The group is old network. He is new recruitment," said Tito. 

Sultan put an ISIS sticker at the police station before the attack. He also brought several pipe bombs.
