Attorney General Confirms Executions Will be Held This Weekend
Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo (Photo: MI/Mohamad Irfan), Jakarta: Attorney General M Prasetyo has confirmed third round executions will be held this weekend. 

"Hopefully, if we don't face any obstacles," said Prasetyo at his office, Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/27/2016).

Prasetyo also confirmed the government will execute 14 convicts including Freddy Budiman, Merry Utami and Pakistani drug convict Zulfikar Ali.

"Freddy is in the list," he revealed.

He added that the shooting squads have been deployed in the location. Authorities have informed the families of the 14 convictis. Minister of Foreign Affairs also have notified embassies whose citizens are facing executions.

"Security Officials are ready. Shooting Squads are ready," he concluded.

The executions will be held in Nusakambangan island, Cilacap, Central Java. The convicts have been moved to isolation rooms at Besi prison in the island.

Previously, Indonesian lawyer, Farhat Abbas, claimed the executions will be held on Saturday (7/30). Farhat is lawyer of Senegalese drug convict, Seck Osmane.
