Two Police Officers Hurt After Clash With Protesters

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Two police officers hurt after protesters clashed with security forces in front of the Presidential Palace on Friday (11/4) evening.

Several Islamic organizations staged peaceful protest in Jakarta this afternoon. Thousands of people joined the protest.

Most protesters left before dawn. However, some of them decided to stay in front of the palace.

The tension escalated when the protesters tried to breach the barricade. They attacked security forces with stones and sticks. 

The injured police officers are Second Inspector Lufti Hayata and Brigardier Surdin.
