Gov't Delivers Aid for Flash Flood Victims

Metrotvnews.com, Bandung: The West Java provincial administration has delivered aid for the victims of flash floods in Garut.

"It is already there. It is enough," West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said in Bandung on Wednesday (9/21).

Heavy rains triggered flash floods in several locations in Garut on Tuesday (9/20) evening. The disaster killed at least 16 people.

Meanwhile, more than 1,000 residents were evacutaed from the affected areas. They currently stay in military bases and other evacuation camps. 

The flash floods hit seven districts in Garut: Bayongbong, Garut Kota, Banyu Resmi, Tarogong Kaler, Tarogong Kidul, Karang Pawitan, and Samarang.
