Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Sabu Raijua Regent Marthen Dira Tome on Monday (11/14) evening.

The agency named Marthen as a suspect in 2014. He allegedly stole Rp77 billion in regional funds when he worked for the East Nusa Tenggara Education and Culture Agency in 2007-2008.

"He obstructed the investigation," said KPK spokeswoman Yuyuk Andriati in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/15) early morning.

"The arrest occurred in West Jakarta," she continued.

Marthen won a pretrial against KPK last May. However, the agency renamed him as a suspect last week.
