She said health sector cooperation within AEC, has not reached exchange of medical experts issue.
"Medical council has not accepted it. So, there are no foreign doctors work in Indonesia," mentioned Nila in her office, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/5/2016).
According to her, health sector cooperation in AEC is still revolving around  knowledge exchange, standardisation and accreditation for health centers.
The medical experts exchange is the last issue to be discussed in the cooperation.
Simlar with Nila, Health Minister's special staff on the services development, Akmal Taher mentioned that the main point in medical experts exchange issue is synchronizing competencies between ASEAN countries. Not only Indonesia, other ASEAN countries also have not agreed medical experts exchange.
"So, it will not be applied yet. What have been agreed is knowledge transfer with special permit. It is allowed only for (medical) researches. If the doctor is transferred for practices, it is not yet allowed," he explained.
