Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo said he will decide the fate of the oil and gas block in Masela, Maluku after meeting with the investor.
 
"I want to see the contractor investor. Before that, I will not decide," mentioned President Jokowi as he started the limited meeting at the Presidential Office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jakarta, Monday (2/1/2016).
 
President wants the development of the oil and gas block to consider Indonesian constitution.
 
"That the exploitation of natural resources should be for the people and everyone, not only for a small group of people," President Jokowi continued.
 
"There should be additional value or multiplier effect related to the regional development," he added.
 
Masela Block is located in the southern part of Maluku. Currently, the right for the block is owned by Inpex with 65 percent and Shell Corporation with 35 percent.
