Sri Mulyani, Go-Jek CEO Discuss Fintech Industry Development
Illustration (Photo: MI/Ramdani), Jakarta; Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati received PT Go-Jek Indonesia CEO Nadiem Makarim at the Finance Ministry head office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon.

He explained about the financial tecnology industry in the country. He ecnouraged lenient tax regulations for local financial technology companies.

"we were asked to talk about financial tehnology industry. We were asked to explain about digital revolution," Nadiem said.

"Everione can have easier financial access. They can have higher welfare standard," he added.

The government has introduced the 14th economic policy package to boost the country's digital economy sector. Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) have issued a number of incentives to support financial technology innovations.

Go-Jek was founded by Nadiem Makarim in 2010. The startup was given unicorn status in 2016.
