Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani at Bogor Palace in Bogor, West Java on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

The two leaders discussed a wide range of bilateral issues. They highlighted economic relations between the two countries.

"Indonesia will assist Qatar to invest in the country," Jokowi said.

The two leaders also discussed a number of regional issues. They called for sustainable peace in Myanmar's Rakhine State.

"The Qatari emir has urged the Myanmar government to resolve the crisis," Jokowi said.

During the bilateral meeting, Indonesia and Qatar signed five memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on diplomacy, aviation, education, youth and health.
