No Indonesian Casualties in Hurricane Harvey: Govt

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Indonesian Consulate General in Houston (KJRI Houston) has found no Indonesian casualties among the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, the United States. 

"KJRI Houston has informed that there are no Indonesian casulties," the Foreign Ministry's Indonesian citizen protection director Lalu Muhammad Iqbal told Metrotvnews.com on Monday.

"KJRI Houston is monitoring the latest situtation," The Foreign Ministry official said.

The hurricane made the first landfall in Rockport, Texas on Friday with winds of 215 kilometers per hour. It was recorded as a category 4 hurricane.

The hurricane made the second landfall in Holiday Beach, Texas on Satuday with winds of 205 kilometers per hour. It was decreased to a category 3  hurricane.
