Jokowi Visits Singapore, Eyes Stronger Economic Cooperation
President Joko Widodo (Photo: MI/Ramdani), Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and First Lady Iriana traveled to Singapore on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

Jokowi will attend the 50th annniversary of Indonesia-Singapore diplomatic relationship. He also will join the 50th anniversary of ASEAN.

The PDIP politician will meet with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. He also will meet with the Indonesian community in the city state.

The former Jakarta governor will be accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. He also will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno. 

The two leaders will discuss a wide range of economic cooperation opportunities. They also will address a number of regional and global issues.
