US Charge d'Affaires Erin Elizabeth Mckee was summoned by the Indonesian Foreign Ministry  on Monday morning. She was inquired by Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi during the meeting.

"There is no more restriction regarding General Gatot's travel to the US," Retno said.

"We still need a detailed explanation regarding the incident," Retno said.

On Saturday evening, General Gatot was denied to enter the US by the US Customs and Border Protection. According to reports, he was invited to attend a US-initiated anti-terror conference by the US Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford.

"They will arrange a communication channel between General Gatot and General Dunford," Retno said.
