No Indonesian Casualties in New York Truck Attack
Illustration (Photo: Metrotvnews), Jakarta: The Indonesian Foreign Ministry is closely monitoring the New York truck attack which reportedly killed as many as eight people.

"Until now, there are no report on Indonesia citizens as victims in the act," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry wrote on its official twitter account on Wednesday, November 1, 2017

"Indonesian Citizens who wish for information & help, please kindly contact the @kjri_ny Hotline Nu: +1 (929) 278-6298 / +1 (347) 806-9279," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry added.

A truck sped down a busy bicycle path in Lower Manhattan. The truck mowed down pedestrians just few blocks from the 9/11 memorial.

The suspect was arrested by police officers shortly afterward. The attack was considered by authorities as "act of terror".
