Indonesia, Malaysia Hold JCBC Meeting

Metrotvnews.com: The 15th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) meeting between Indonesia and Malaysia took place at Pancasila Building in Gambir, Central Jakarta on Friday, August 11, 2017.

Indonesia's delegation was led by Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi. Malaysia's delegation was headed  by Malaysian Foreign Anifah aman.

The two countries discussed  about a wide range of bilateral issues. The two governments talked about a number of bilateral collaborations.

"Malaysia is an important trade partner for Indonesia. Trade between the two countries reached Rp15billion in 2016," Retno said.

"Malaysia is the top ten investor in Indonesia. Malaysia's FDI reached USD1.1 billion in 2016," she added.

The two countries agreed to accelerate border negotiations. The two governments to improve migrant worker protection efforts.
