Jokowi Reiterates Indonesia's Support for Palestine
President Joko Widodo (Photo: MI/Susanto), Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo explained Indonesia's foreign policy strategy during the annual state address at the Parliament Building Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

The current government has participated in a number of international meetings. It has taken part in a number of peacekeeping missions. 

"We have urged ASEAN and UN's supports on Palestinian independece. We have condemned Israel's violent acions against the Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque," Jokowi said.

"We have established a honorary consulate in Ramallah, Palestine. We have proposed an international protection for the Al-Aqsa Holy mosque," he said.

Moreover, the current government has implemented measures to protect Indonesian citizens abroad. It has approaced other countries to treat Indonesian workers well.  

"We must protect our citizens. We must protect our migrant workers," he said.
