Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Foreign Ministry Retno Marsudi has officially handed over two former hostages to their families.

Muhammad Nasir and Robin Pieter were released by Filipino militants on December 12. They were kidnapped by the militants on June 20.

"It is the result of total diplomacy," Retno said in a written statement on Friday (12/16).

"It is the work of all parties," she continued.

There are still four Indonesian hostages in the southern Philippines. The government is still closely monitoring the situation in the region.
