Jokowi Receives Australian Foreign Minister

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo received a courtesy call from Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop this morning.

"We discussed several issues including counterterrorism cooperation," said Bishop, according to a press release from the Cabinet Secretary's Office on Wednesday (10/26).

"We will continue to maintain good relations between the two countries," she continued.

Bishop mentioned Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull visited Indonesia last year. Meanwhile, President Jokowi will visit Australia later this year.

Bishop will attend the 16th IORA Council of Ministers Meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali tomorrow. She will also join two-plus-two dialogue between Indonesia and Australia.
