Jokowi & Turnbull Discuss Anti-Terrorism Cooperation

Metrotvnews.com, Vientiane: President Joko Widodo conducted a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on th sidelines of the ASEAN summits in Vientiane, Laos on Thursday, September 8, 2016.

Jokowi and Turnbull leaders discussed Jokowi's plan to visit Australia.

"We are still searching for the right time. The most appropriate time is November," Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said afer the meeting.

Both leaders also discussed bilateral economic relations, including beef trade between the two countries.

"It should be more than a trade. It should be sustainable," Retno continued.

The two governments agreed to increase anti-terrorism cooperation either at the ASEAN-Australia level or bilateral level.

"We will increase intelligence and cyber cooperation," she stated.
