Metrotvnews.com, Kuala Lumpur: Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi conducted a meeting with Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman in Kuala Lumpur today.

Filipino militants hijacked two fishing vessels in Malaysia waters last week. They then kidnappped two Indonesian boat captains.

According to a written statement from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry on Monday (11/7), the two foreign ministers discussed about the incident.

Anifah said Malaysia is concerned with the incident. He mentioned that his country is committed to cooperate with Indonesia and the Philippines.

The three countries agreed to establish maritime security cooperation in the Sulu-Sulawesi Seas earlier this year. The recent incident occurred outside the cooperation area.
