Indonesia Fully Supports Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process
Barrier built by Israel in the West Bank (Photo:AFP), Jakarta: Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Matrsudi is scheduled to attend the Ministerial Meeting on the Middle East Peace Process in Paris, France today.
According to press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday (6/3/2016), the meeting will also be attended by permanent members of United Nations (UN) Security council.
Several Middle East and European countries as well as international organizations will also join the meeting.
The meeting is intended to explore opportunities to revive Israeli-Palestinian peace process that has been stopped since 2014. It is also held as preparation for future international peace conference in France.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Indonesia is invited to the meeting for its active roles in the issue. The country hosted the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Palestine early this year.
