Metrotvnews.com, Nusa Dua: Australia views positively Indonesia's bid to become UN Security Council non-permanent member for 2019-2020 period.

"We support all countries," said Bishop at Bali International Convention Center in Nusa Dua, Bali on Thursday (10/27).

Bishop mentioned Indonesia has significant economic development. The country also has stable political condition.

"Therefore, Indonesia is suitable as UN Security Council non-permanent member," she stated.

Indonesia formally launched its bid earlier this year. The election will be held in mid-2018. The country will compete against Maldives.
