Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi has met with 850 soldiers who will be deployed to Lebanon.

"They should maintain our image in the world," Retno said at the Indonesia Peace and Security Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java on Monday (10/10).

The soldiers will join the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). They will observe the border between Israel and Lebanon.

The peacekeeping mission also has other roles such as clearing landmines, assisting displaced persons and providing humanitarian assistance.

Indonesia is one of the largest contingents in UNIFIL.
