Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi has confirmed four Indonesian hostages who were released by Somali pirates on Saturday (10/22) are in good condition.

"The four former hostages arrived in Nairobi on Sunday (10/23)," said Retno during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (10/24) morning.

"They are in good condition. They will undergo health examinations today," she continued.

Somali pirates kidnapped 29 Asian sailors in March 2012. The sailors worked aboard the Omani flagged fishing vessel Naham 3.

The pirates only released 26 sailors last week. Three others died in captivity.

"One Indonesian citizen named Nasirin died because of malaria," Retno stated.
