Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The government will give scholarships to 100 Syrian refugees that want to study in Indonesian universities.

"We will help around 100 person," Research, Technology and Higher Education Minister M. Nasir said at the Vice Presidential Office on Thursday (9/8/2016).

Nasir explained his ministry will coordinate with the Law and Human Rights Ministry and the Foreign Ministry.

"The Law and Human Rights Ministry and the Foreign Ministry will process their visas," he continued.

He added that the Indonesian government will cooperate with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Syrian government.

Nasir ensured the refugees can enter any university in the country. However, they will be spread to different universities.

"We don't want them to gather in one university," he concluded.
