Jokowi to Address Australian Parliament
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull visited Indonesia last year (Photo:Antara/M Adimaja), Jakarta: President Joko Widodo will visit Australia on November 6-8. Jokowi will address the Australian parliament during the visit.

"We will strengthen maritime economic cooperation," said the Foreign Ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir in Jakarta on Thursday (11/3).

Several ministers will accompany Jokowi including Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukito and Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) head Thomas Lembong.

"Jokowi will also meet with opposition leader Bill Shorten and Australian Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove," said the Foreign Ministry East Asia and Pacific affairs director Edi Yusup.

"He then will address the Australian parliament," Edi continued

Edi mentioned that Jokowi will discuss Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA CEPA) and other economic cooperation.

"The two leaders will also discuss counterterrorism cooperation," Edi stated.
